A year and a half ago Claire began life as a pretty bald little baby and then started growing a few curly wisps here and there up until her first birthday. I thought for a while that she would follow in Susie's footsteps and end up with a mop of curls, but somewhere around year one her hair started falling out. Like a little old man. It was terrible and a little alarming, but thankfully it has since started growing back in. Not so thankfully, however, it has grown in with a vengeance, stick straight and unwilling to lay down. Much like a Chia Pet, or a porcupine, or a dandelion, or even a Q-Tip (all names she's been called), Claire has funny, pokey hair.

she is beautiful... i love her eyes and sweet clear skin, she looks like one of those model babies in Parent's magazines. Little Claire is just trying to keep up with Nana!
