The Phillips' Get Hip

After enjoying the blogs of many of our friends, Doug and I have decided to get hip and start a family blog of our own! Our plan is to update a few times each month with pictures so you can keep an eye on the girls as they grow. Basically it will be the same excitement we've sent through Kodak emails, but hopefully this will be a little easier and a little more frequent. So bear with us as we learn the ropes of blogging and feel free to check back every now and again!

Kickin' Off the New Blog

We were lucky to enjoy a visit from good friends Zoe and James Gnesda and their two girls Carolyn and Evelyn this Memorial Day weekend. Saturday was spent catching up and relaxing poolside (Phillips backyard kiddy pool) while the girls had a blast running wild.

Sunday we decided to ditch the Visalia heat and took a day trip into the Sequoia National Forest to check out General Sherman, the world's largest tree by volume. All were impressed, but I think the highlight had to be the bear cub we spotted out the car window! Three-year-old Carolyn claims she spotted a rhino as well, but it hasn't been confirmed...
